1824 Election

Recommended Posts

referncing dem4 ease thread, rick pointed out some "relitively close" elctions, and 1824 was more than relitively close, it was razor tight and went to the house.

John Q. Adams, Andrew Jackson, Henry Clay, one other

all Democratic-Republicans

issues seem to have been tariffs and federal banking

anyone interested? I haven't done a good research historical one for awhile not

might be game if ya'll are

I had drawn up a list of issues although i dont have it now, the rest of research is easy

The big problem i found though is that many states split up their EVs among different candidates

well, for sheer accuracys sake it should go to the house, so just make the house all "tied" which, techincally it would be cuz they were all the same party back then

according to HRC and my own experience, the AI mostly gives the win to whomever got the most popular votes, but not always

Truth be told, this election might be easier to work with via PM Forever. I know it sounds odd, but so many states fractured their votes, it would almost be easier than dealing with states voting in fixed blocs.
