Idea for Election Night simulation

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever played President Elect 1988? If you have then you'd know one of the more exciting parts of the game is election night which closely matches how it happens in the real world. I think that should be incorporated into the games here instead of how it works now.

Someone has already made that suggestion is a different thread, and I've already given my rebuttal and disagreement (and reason why), especially for being an outright replacement system. Maybe an option for custom scenario designers that may or may not be used at their discretion, but not an outright mandatory and universal replacement.

Thank you for your eloquent argument. Duly noted.

I'll take his word for it and not test his hypothesis.

President Elect was a fine game by 1980's standards.  Tons of fun to play against other people.  The computer is pretty easy to beat in any reasonably close scenario once you figure it out.

You can play the game free online here:

Screenshots of the game manual can be seen here:

Play it so you can get an idea what the Election Night simulation is like
