2020 Issue Help: Russia

Recommended Posts

How is this?

Far-Left: Aggressive diplomacy or military muscle is never a way to deal with another country.

Left: Russia interfered in our last election, but we should not resort to diplomacy that could lead to another Cold War.

Center-Left: Russia interfered in our last election. We should consider diplomatic and economic punishments against them.

Center: Russia interfered in our last election, and we should pressure them to back off, even if it could lead to another Cold War

Center-Right: We still need further information on how involved Russia was in interfering in our elections before we consider any sort of measures.

Right: Russia did not interfere in our election, Democrats are just trying to delegitimize Trump's victory.

Far-Right: Focus on containing Russia's obvious aggression, and fight it where it comes up.

It's hard to say. The fact is, even the most gung-ho, hawkish, and interventionist American politician who didn't literally have rocks in their head and hadn't been paying attention since the Siberian atomic bomb test in 1950 would likely not advocate full, out-and-out war with Russia, even at the Far-Right stance.

@Patine

Look at the first post now. Does this seem satisfactory at the moment?

It could, but only the most fringe, deluded, out-of-touch, or with and unrealistic vision of the world should have a default Far-Right stance on this.

Do you have an alternative description?

Forging a post-Cold War military "alliance of encirclement" and undermining their sphere of influence as an aggressive foreign policy priority (basically, igniting a new Cold War openly). That's a possibility less likely to lead to the sudden extinction of the human species.

Can you rephrase, simplify this for an issue description for Far-Right? It's a little long-winded at the moment.

Let me consider the best way to rephrase.

That would work.
