So I was playing my edited 2018 House campaign and I unseated Paul Ryan by one vote!  Have you ever had a result that was decided by less than 500 votes in various scenarios whether PI CI or PMI

Playing as Labour in a custom scenario, I came within 27 votes of unseating the Prime Minister David Cameron

There was a REAL MP here in Canada - in fact, in a constituency whose border is two blocks from where I live (one of those urban ridings) - who did win her seat in one of the 21st Century Canadian Federal elections (I'd have to double-check exactly which) by exactly 1 vote. Her name was Anne McLellan, and the Canadian media ironically called her "Landslide Annie" thereafter.

She won her seat by 12 votes in 1993. The SNP here has one MP who held on in Fife by 2!

I have a couple.

In my custom 1900 Scenario for P4E I created, I once had a result where McKinley barely won Rhode Island - and the election - by 455 votes.  Bryan in fact won the popular vote.

In the 1896 PI scenario, McKinley similarly won Maryland - and thus the election - by a mere 211 votes.  Here, Bryan won a solid popular vote majority.

On the flip side, while this is a bit out of your 500 vote range, another time Bryan won the election by 3,962 votes in New York - both candidates got 49.3%.

Addendum: When you consider the total vote numbers in those last 2 examples are WAY off of the real-life vote totals, those numbers should be even closer.
