Election Night '68

This has been one of the closest elections in years. Either side looks like they could clinch victory. Could George Wallace decide this election?

Election 1972

Robert Kennedy faced a bruising primary battle from George Wallace, barley winning against the segregationist Governor. In retaliation, Kennedy announced he was running with Representative Shirley Chisholm, the first woman on a major presidential ticket. Meanwhile, Governor Reagan of California is running for the Republicans, with Nelson Rockefeller as his running mate to moderate his conservative image. They are currently twenty points ahead of President Kennedy

The gap has slowly closed, and while it still seems likely that Reagan will win, it will be closer than expected

1976 - Start

With President Kennedy on his way out, despite surviving an assassination attempt, he has given his brother his endorsement. Meanwhile, little known Governor Jimmy Carter is a close second behind him in the primaries. But the most media attention seems to be around Alabama Governor George Wallace. Dropping segregation and racism in favour of socially conservative but more moderate positions, the governor looks set to wreak havoc in this close race

Playing as: George Wallace (Let's spice it up, shall we?)

AUTHOR'S COMPULSORY NOTE: I 100% agree with George Wallace on every issue, and I think that him losing in 1968 was the worst event in human history

HUMAN HISTORY? Not just U.S. electoral history, but human history? *shakes head sadly and goes back to armchair and dusty old history books the kids have all forgotten about*
