Help with my campaign?

Recommended Posts

Guest

I need help for my campaign because it crashes on startup and I have no idea why. I'm trying to do my country, I haven't followed a tutorial so maybe I'm doing it wrong, I'm sending what I have right now so someone can check it out.

It's based on Chile in 1989 just after Pinochet.

Not done yet, missing candidates and descriptions, but when I try to test the mod it crashes.

There's actually an elderly man who lives downstairs in my building whose an immigrant from Chile. He also says he was a veteran of one of the revolutionary armies organized by Che Guevarra, but I'm not sure whether that part's true or a boast or exaggeration.

Anyways, although the I'm less familiar with the PI game than the P4E2008 one, or the Congressional, Chancellor, or old PM ones, I'll take a look at it. It's nice to see some more scenarios outside 21st-Century English-speaking countries to add some variety - I have quite a few scenarios planned outside the usual focus of these forums myself.

This is weird. Why can't I download your scenario file? It says the page it's on is not available to my account. What foul play or tomfoolery, the reasons of which will no doubt offend me, like the reasons for all these stupid things on the Internet do, is going on here?

Edit: This venom is not directed at you, ImperatorFG4, as I don't imagine you're behind the reason. I fully imagine it's a forum issue.

Sorry for that, truly not my fault. I'm uploading it to zippyshare. Also there were two revolutionary marxist armies here in Chile, the MIR and the FPMR (Revolutionary Leftist Movement) and (Patriotic Front Manuel Rodriguez). They are not included in the scenario though because first of all they were banned and second they didn't run for president. However there is a fascist party which ran for president called Fatherland and Liberty, ask your neighbor about that, it'll make his blood boil. (They killed a lot of people during Allende's socialist government, terrorist attacks)

Okay, I've come across a REALLY weird glitch. At first, I'd thought it was an error with the download from that upload site with all the trap advertising links lurking everywhere. Then, I thought my compressed file extraction program might be to blame. I'm not sure what is now, but every time I open that file, it creates the proper folder, with properly NAMED subfolders and .xml and .bmp files, BUT they're all blank (0 kb's), despite still being properly named and formatted .xml and .bmp files in the right subfolders. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Any suggestions?

I use 7zip, I'll upload it to mediafire, see if it works.

Alright, the scenario extracted properly. I'm going to give it good look over in the next few days.

A question though. Practically speaking, is the Chilean claim on Antarctica needed on the map? No voters are permanent residents, no significant marks of claim are present, and by the Antarctic Treaty (I can't remember if it had actually been drafted and signed by 1989) all powers with the naval and logistical ability to lay any claim to the continent formally renounced or suspended such claims internationally. Just an initial observation and note.

It wouldn't make much of a difference if removed, there's around 150 habitants. However the village has an hospital, school, supermarket, etc. Also, I'm still missing some candidates for the primaries.
