Communism an Uprsing:Fictional

Recommended Posts

I'm making a 2015 fictional scenario in which the New Canadian Communist Party (NCCP) gains ground in Canada the founder Vlad Flintof a Billionaire has popularized the movement for things like free universal healthcare for all, free college,a strong military force, and no unemployment. After a revolt in Quebec for independence the government sent in troops and hundreds were killed. This has called for a revolution of sorts to get rid of the old matters of government. With unemployment at an all time high and a full fledged revolution brew Vlad believes he can win a majority of seats for his party to turn the country around.

In Edmonton, the Canadian city of over 1 million where I live and have lived most of my life, there's probably around (likely less than) 100 people who sincerely believe old-style Cold War Communism is an attractive philosophy (I've actually met one - he was married to my cousin for a while). What I'm trying to say, hard Communism is not really, despite many American stereotypes, statistically anymore popular here in Canada than in the US.
