Looking forward to it.

Any plans for superdelegates in the Democratic primaries?

Not at this point. It might happen through Endorsers (endorsement can increase your delegate count).

OK, what about recounts if a state is within a certain number of votes or a certain percentage of the vote?

I don't know about anyone else here, but I'd really like to see an expansion of the debate mechanics. Because in real life it's not a binary choice between attacking an opponent and talking about your viewpoints. A debate is sort of made up of individual issue debates that can be won by anyone and that's what factors into an overall win in the debate.

i.e. Two candidates have the same viewpoint on Government Spending. They do not need to Debate on it, and the ones showing the most Charisma and Issue Familiarity in their answer are therefore the winner of that part of the debate.

But if the two candidates have different viewpoints on Corruption, then IF, Debating, and Charisma all play parts in who wins.

And say if they were debating Leadership, and candidate A has 3 leadership, 5 debating, and 5 charisma, and candidate B has 5 leadership, 2 debating, 2 charisma. Then candidate A would be at a slight advantage because of the debating and charisma offsetting the actual attribute of the opponent.

Just a thought, but I think this would make for more interesting and deep debate mechanics. Which is a part that feels a little empty to me.

@Bruce Fischer

No plans for that at this point.

*wrings hands*

I forget but someone mentioned better convention mechanics, right?

It'd be really interesting, during the campaign and afterwards to be able to view how much time each candidates spent in different states as well as how much money they spent and where. Would be interesting to be able to export this data too.

Coalitions - building after a hung parliament would be awesome.

Again can you please explain why you think this somehow never happens in the US. Exit polls are used here to provide predictions and estimations of results, in addition to demographic statistics.

plus the country isnt all in one timezone i think no exit poll make the results more fun to watch here.

I may have mentioned this already, but more detail for contested conventions and general elections that go to the House.

Instead of just saying "Smith is eliminated and his 400 delegates to..."  I think that after the first ballot all delegates are released from obligations.  Some will be released, some will form coalitions and support someone else.  In the old days you might have 50 or more ballots, back-room dealing, coalitions, and not eliminating candidates so quickly.

In a hung election, it just says that "Congress has decided..." Maybe have an opportunity to lobby Congress and watch the roll call vote.

Demographic Polls.

If you mean exit polling, I think that would be interesting, but better if we can access it during the campaign.

Definitely. Or at least have the contested conventions feel less like a lottery.

I have several fictional scenarios which usually feature three or four factions in each of the two big parties. The primary results come in, and often one of these factions will get 45% for instance. Yet the first leader to be eliminated gives delegates to another small leader who goes above one of those factions, and said small independent candidate ends up on 55% of delegates after winning just 5% originally. The fact I usually have PR primaries with no floor may make the system more unstable but it should still be a bit predictable.
