PM Forever - Australia v. 1.00.4 Beta

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody,

Here is a link to the PM Forever - Australia v. 1.00.4 Beta file:

http://dl.filekicker.com/send/file/152724-...h-beta-1004.exe

Please note: this will patch your existing version. It is not a standalone install.

If you have made any changes to the default scenario files, this patch will overwrite those changes. It is recommended that you backup your Prime Minister Forever - Australia folder before installing this patch.

You will know that you have installed the patch if it says 'v. 1.00.4 Beta' on the start screen.

What the v. 1.00.4 Beta patch does:

- fixed problem with negative percentages

- fixed problem with computer players picking the wrong competitors

- background graphics now change depending on the scenario

1.00.4 Beta also includes the changes in the 1.00.3 Beta, which are:

- can now play with less than 4 parties

- function computer players use for deciding whom to attack changed (fixes problem with coalition members attacking each other)

- scenarios added automatically (just insert a scenario folder in the scenarios folder, no need to edit the scenarios.txt file)

- Australia 2004 scenario: added Simon Crean, various riding data changed

- Canada 2004 scenario: party relations values changed

- other minor changes

Any feedback appreciated as always,

Thanks,

Anthony Burgoyne

I think it's, basically, if you want to try it out, you're welcome to, but there's no assurance that it'll be 100% effective.

Hi KEFP, Appel4PM got it right - it is considered a Beta because we haven't tested it enough to call it a regular patch, but anyone is welcome to download it. As far as I know there are no problems with the patch.

Tyking: can you tell me which scenario you are playing where this happens, and where the negative numbers occur (is it on the seats screen, or on the main screen?).

Thanks,

Anthony Burgoyne

It is with the Ontario - 2003 scenario, and I only saw it on the main screen (I didn't check the seats).

Tyking,

Does the negative number happen usually, occasionally, rarely? Is there anything in particular that precedes it?

Thanks,

It happens all the time.

For Ontario, usually right after the first poll the Greens dip to -10%

For other scenarios, like my 1979 scenario, the NDP regularly polls at -1% in some Quebec ridings.

Hmmm ...

I haven't been able to replicate it with v. 1.00.4 on the Ontario scenario. Have you gotten the negative percentages by riding in v. 1.00.4 as well? (The negative percentage bug that was fixed had to do with individual ridings.)

Oooh oooh ooh I think I found the problem.

I don't get it on the riding level (it defaults to zero, as I suppose it should), nor do I get it on the national level with PUBLIC polls (they hover around 1%).

However - with PRIVATE polls the Ontario Greens always dip to -10%.

Perhaps that's the problem!
