I was thinking about this one, once it was mentioned about a Middle Eastern micronation. Ask me if you need any help.

I would need the following things to help me start, because I don't have a model for Middle-East type elections:

-Map

-Ideas for issues

-Parties logos

Thanks a lot in advance!

I'd actually like to correct matavail, since Babkha is actually based more off of the RL Iran than Jordan. As a result, it has highly fradulent elections with ballot-stuffing, vote suppression, voter intimidation, and biased state-controlled media and other fun stuff.

Babkha basically has a power-sharing agreement between the Islamist and Monarchist parties, with the executive under control of a hereditary Sultan while the judiciary under control of Islamic clerics and the legislature governed by a coalition of the two.

The Communists are the major opposition (though most of their support comes from non-Persians), with the westernizing pro-Democracy Liberals in third place, and the Pan-Arab Nasserites in last place.

Babhka also right now is subsiding proxy wars against Rocentia, New Britannia, and Carrassia in Turaqistan by arming proxy militias and terrorist groups to fight the coalition forces- as well as wage a propaganda against the "imperialist powers."

Is anyone interested in resurrecting this project? I was thinking this could be updated as a sort of "Babkhan Spring" scenario, with the toppling of the Sultan and new democratic elections.

Also, I did some research into Babkhan history, and found the following names for the parties already mentioned:

People's Revolutionary Party - Communist

Babkhan Liberal Centre Party - Liberal

Qermez Party - Monarchist

Azadegan Party (Free People's Party) - Islamic

Rastakhiz Party (Rennisance or Resurgence Party) - Right-Wing

I'd be okay with it, if someone helped me with the map and the party logos- actually. I'll avoid RL controversial logos like Hezbollah's, for example.

I was able to whip up this map of Iran if it may be useful. Difficult to find a combined Iraq and Iran with provinces.

mapoc.png

I can also try and find some party logos.

Cool! Thanks! Actually Babkha does look like this if you are willing to translate this into a map: http://micras.org/maps/claimsmap.png

There is a chap here who is really good with party logo design- I can ask him.
