  2. Game Improvements

@admin_270 I have a way to make the game a lot more complicated Strategically, add each states Counties to the game, it adds even more strategy for the primaries. Makes you break it down farther by planning your strategy based on the counties instead. New Hampshire for Example, could be really close between 3 candidates and one of them wins by visiting Coos County a few more times than everyone else.... Or PA for example could come down to 3 small counties in the middle of the state that no one anticipated would be important.
  3. Gonna try to win the 1968 Scenario as Harold Stassen. I have won the nomination once, and lost at the convention to the runner up once.

  5. Game Improvements

I would like to see political operatives with special "abilities" added to the game. An example. Every campaign gets a Treasurer and Campaign manager Campaign manager gives a 100% accurate poll in the campaign HQ located in the homsestate, not a moveable operative. Treasurer decreases the cost of ads in the homestate, not a moveable operative Operatives that can be hired and paid weekly. Communications director- increases ad power in state where communications director is deployed. Field Director- decreases CPs to build organizational strength and create foot soldiers. Fundraiser- increases $ amount at a fund raiser by 15% (most expenive operative) Press secaratary- gives +2 spin to the campaign Black operative- Neutralizes opponent operative in target state (1 use then vanishes) Consultant- decreases the amount of PiPs needed to win endorsement, CPs get +4 endorsement points instead of 2 in state they are deployed in. May be over thinking this. But I think it would add more strategy to a game I already win with either party every time on the hardest difficulty.

  9. 2000 Scenario

I want to do a 2008 scenario and to have someone Narrate what is happening. We can even talk via skype. Ir I can stream the game on twitch and you can do weekly or monthy posts as if you are a journalist sent to cover everything. Would anyone be interested in being the journalist? @Reagan04 @jvikings1 @ThePotatoWalrus @Patine @CalebsParadox @Conservative Elector 2 If we can get 1 conaervative media guy and 1 liberal reporter that is acceptable or one that is just truly unbiased.
  10. in my experience with the game, things like funding and spinning news articles dont matter much. In fact, I won the 2008 Scenario with Tom Tancredo, I spent 23 million in the primaries, had 6 million left, and took the block grant for the primaries. Wound up beating Obama to become president. here is how I did it. 1. Time is the key Remember Time is the most valuable commodity, anyone can win the '08 Scenario with MCcain or Rudi, or Romney, and you can start 3 weeks from the first primary and still be able to win. I selected the scenario that allowed me the longest time. That time I spent half of each week, Raising money, and doing barnstormings and rallies. This got me a launchpad. for Step 2. 2. Common Sense Campaigning Dont spend any money in states you cant win. For example, in the '08 Scenario, John MCCain almost always wins Arizona. I have played the '08 scenario a dozen times and no matter how hard I campaign in Arizona, MCcain usually wins. so I say, dont bother, Do it in states that are winnable, for me, that was Illinois, the Midwest, Wisconsin, and the territories, the only "big" state I won with Tancredo was Illinois. I won enough of the other states to secure the nomination at the convention floor. A nomination, is a nomination, even from a brokered convention. I used most of my money in the mid west states, and Illinois and Wisconsin. And Remember in states you cant win you can campaign for free with Barnstorms, and Rallies..... 3. Winning Endorsements. Endorsements lead to momentum. Momentum is important.. It helps generate positive polling, and the more solid polling you have the more funding you can generate from those states, or so it seems. This may not Actually be a fact, but it seems in a state where you have momentum and semi-favorable polling on your side you generate more money for funding. 4. Ads I ran newspaper ads leading up to the primaries and got TV ads a week before each one and ran them, I always kept the campaign positive, and that strategy worked. I followed the Reagan rule, thall shalt, not attack thy fellow Republican. Hope these Help.
