vcczar posted a topic in GeneralThe Historical Scenario Commission has updated the 1808 election! Updated 1788-1808 scenarios are now available for download *Note: These early elections do not have a popular vote in some states; thus, the true battle are in the states with the popular vote. Only the candidates (and in later cases, the party) that has any shot at winning the state legislatures will be on the ballot in the states without a popular vote. This is because the engine seems to randomly assign the winner of these states (they have a voting population set to 1). This is done to allow for realistic election results. Without doing so, the Simulation Party, John Jay or Gouvernor Morris could win Georgia over Thomas Jefferson, despite Jefferson having 80% support. I just want to make it clear that this is not a glitch, this is solely reflecting states without a popular vote, and that have a permanent bias for or against certain candidates or parties.
