  1. If forced to vote in the GOP Senate primary in Alabama, who would you back? Former Trump ally, but now disgraced former Senator and AG Jeff Sessions or the outsider football coach, but Trump backed Tommy Tuberville? I'd vote for Tuberville, but it's not really political motivated. From a political point of view it's a tie for me. I think Tuberville is more likeable and he was a football coach.
  2. Tom Cotton said in June: "If the Chief Justice believes his political judgment is so exquisite, I invite him to resign, travel to Iowa, and get elected." So here are some options to vote for! I believe Roberts might be among the Republicans who behave the most with integrity. I'd welcome him running, despite the actual chance for him to do so might be close to zero. I'd also support him most likely unless there is a real great candidate running, despite being at odds with some of Roberts' (recent) rulings.
  3. Poll: I may do a Democrat version of this. @vcczar @Conservative Elector 2 @Actinguy @TheLiberalKitten @Mr.Blood @WVProgressive @Kingthero @Hestia11 @Reagan04 @Edouard @Herbert Hoover @Rodja
  4. The RP would be formed in the likeness of the German Election RP run by @Hestia11, and it would follow the same formula of 3 events a day. I will launch it in the next couple of days if I find the public support for it. The RP would take place in the 3 months leading up to the 2020 election, with one day equaling one week in-game. The electoral system would be based on the Israeli Nation-wide Proportional Representation System, but modified to allow for a state-wide system with 20 seats per-state and a 5% cutoff to receive seats. Trump would remain President, with his role being reduced to a c
  5. Since I am watching CNN on a daily basis as it's the only American network I can view on TV in Austria, I thought it would be fun to hear what Americans (and others) are thinking about them. You might know them better than I do. I largely skipped correspondents and people I can't name immediately, so you're free to give kudos or criticism to others as well.

  7. So this was an idea I had. I wrote the question from a conservative point of view. Thanks for taking part. Leave suggestions for topics you would like to see in another run.
  8. I would be interested, how Arnold Schwarzenegger (if eligible), a moderate Republican and popular actor would do in this forum against various candidates. Please vote
  9. I would be interested, how Arnold Schwarzenegger, a moderate Republican and popular actor would have done in this forum against various candidates. Please vote
  10. I have been thinking about doing an Election Play-by-Play but I was wondering what difficult others had done
  11. So please vote, I would be interested in your opinions. *February version
  12. @RP Overlord has agreed to GM this RP. I will have a scenario that I will do that will elect a President that I play as. The only real characters will be a Vice President, and the President, everyone else may create a custom character. We will need: VP Chief of staff Deputy chief of staff Communications Director Deputy Comms Director Press Secaratary Other positions will be available when we het enough ppl. @Sami @Reagan04 @jvikings1 @LegolasRedbard @Presidentinsertname @CalebsParadox
  13. Thinking about John McCain, Thad Cochran, Donald Trump, and other aging politicians, that could soon show mental decline, if not already.
  14. I think since we did the Hypothetical Cabinet, we could do a hypothetical candidacy. Below, list what you assume would be your strengths and weaknesses as a presidential primary candidate, and as a presidential general election nominee.. Assume you are of age, are born in the US, that you have at least enough support to be in the primary debate, and the at least enough money to carry you to the first primary. You can use my response as a template. Part 1: As a primary candidate Strengths: Would likely appeal to the base. High integrity. Has never broken the law. Has neve
  15. I picture myself living where many of my ancestors lived---in Massachusetts. I picture myself as a Harvard professor, who is conflicted on the war, as I am both a strong abolitionist and a pacifist. While I do not see the majority of Southern people as evil or un-American, I see the members of the Plantation Class--the minority that rules the South--as traitors, immoral, bordering on Satanic, who have basically revoked their citizenship by waging war on our country and, furthermore, have lost all claims to their property as open traitors. I expect the property to be divided among former slaves
  16. This poll comes from a blog I wrote awhile back: https://historymonocle.com/2016/04/10/top-20-most-powerful-politicians-who-were-never-president/
  17. Here's a new poll. Please post comments.
