  1. I did my own, goofy European Parliament election back in like 2007 or so. I'll see if I still have it. I also had a computer change as well, but I'm thinking I could get back into 80soft stuff after binging on civ 5, democracy 3, and tropico.
  2. I'm going to redo the 2004 and 2006 elections first, like I did with 2008 and 2011 (both of which turned out really well). Issues in 2004: Abortion Business Tax Corruption Debt Reduction Defense Environment Families Gun Registry Immigration Marijuana National Security Personal Tax Provincial Powers Public Health Care Quebec Same-Sex Marriage Trade US Relations Let me know what you think.
  3. Who are the other leaders? I recognize Trudeau, Mulcair, Harper, May, and Duceppe- but not anyone else.
  4. Which endorsers should I include this time around? Working on issue positions: EDIT: For some reason I cannot copy and paste issue positions from the files...weird.
  5. It is going to be a very low profile issue. I suppose Gender Equality could replace the Government issue ((which would be Stick with Harper (Tory) vs Change (Grit) vs a Centre-Left Coalition (NDP) or Left-wing Coalition government (Green, BQ)). What should be the highest profile issues (3 and 4), middle profile (2), and lowest profile (1)? Please note this would include Leadership, Integrity, Experience, and Issue Familiarity.
  6. @Issues Asylum and Immigration Budget and Debt Constitution Defence Devolution Economy Education Environment European Union Housing Law and Order Middle East NHS Northern Ireland Pensions Rural Affairs Tax Policy Welfare @end How are these? I'm not sure if Same-Sex Marriage was a bigger issue than Rural Affairs (which includes Hunting Bans), Pensions, or the Middle East (which would include Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Israel-Palestine, and ISIS). Referendum on staying in the EU- in there as European Union Scottish Independence - in there as Devolution Syrian refugee crisis- in Middle East Financial aid to Greece- not really an issue Military intervention in Syria- in there as Middle East Same-sex marriage- not sure if it was much of an issue, it didn't seem to cause that much political fallout or benefit (save by shifting the right of the Tories to the UKIP and the right wing of the Lib-Dems to the Tories) NHS- in there Relations with Russia- not really an issue
  7. Hey all, So I wanted to express inerest in making a Canada 2015 election scenario for the 2008 engine. What are the issues for the official 2015 scenario? I'd suggest these based on what I've read- but please feel free to correct me on anything. Leadership 2 Integrity 2 Experience 2 Issue Familiarity 1 Aboriginal Affairs 3 Business Taxes 1 Childcare 2 Crime 1 Defense 2 Democratic Reform 3 Economy 4 Energy 3 Environment 3 Gender Equality 2 Healthcare 2 Marijuana 3 Multiculturalism 2 Pensions 1 Personal Taxes 3 Quebec 1 Trade 2 Terrorism 3 And old/new/updated endorsements: The Sun Chain The Globe and Mail Toronto Star
  8. Out of curiosity, what are the issues and positions for the official 2015 scenario?
  9. I'm thinking that I may get back to it. Parties wil be (not necesarily in this order), with Leaders in Parenthesis: Labour (Ed Miliband, Alternates: David Miliband, Ed Balls, Andy Burnham, Diane Abbot, Jeremy Corbyn) Conservative (David Cameron, Alternates: Boris Johnson, George Osborne, Nicky Morgan, Theresa May, Michael Gove) Lib-Dem (Nick Clegg, Alternates: Tim Farron, Simon Hughes, Vince Cable) Scottish National (Nicola Sturgeon, Alternate: Alec Salmond) Green (Natalie Bennett, Alternate: Caroline Lucas) UKIP (Nigel Farage) National Health Action (plus CISTA) (Richard Taylor) Ulster Unionist (Mike Nesbitt) Democratic Unionist (Peter Robinson) SDLP (Alasdair McDonnell) Sinn Fein (Gerry Adams) Alliance (David Ford) Respect (includes TUSC, Socialist Labour, etc) (George Galloway) English Democrats (includes Christian, Christian Peoples, TUV) (Robin Tillbrook) Independents (includes Speaker) (John Bercow) As for parties, I think I'll replace the BNP with the National Health Action Party. If someone wants to help me with issues, that would be great.
  10. So to celebrate my big return to this forum, I will make a UK 2015 election scenario for the 201 engine. For those of you that have already made any, feel free to offer suggestions. If you have any pictures from the official scenario- please send them my way. Just for notes, I'm going to replace Veritas with the English Democrats and add the Christian and Christian People's Party in with them. Respect will include the TUSC as well. I'll get rid of the BNP and replace them with National Health Action- which will also include CISTA. As for the issues in the scenario- here's what I have so far: Asylum and Immigration Balanced Budget Devolution Economy Education Environment European Union Foreign Policy Government Housing Law and Order Military NHS Northern Ireland Political Reform Tax Policy Transport Welfare Issues fixed.
  11. Send it to me at kurtgarwood@gmail.com and I'll take a look tonight.
  12. The NSA scandal was talked about but had no effect on the way people voted; Digital Integrity the same as it was in 2009. I will include the AfD, as they almost made it into the Bundestag. Not sure about the Pirates given their collapse in the polls. I do need 4 more issues though.
  13. Issues: Balanced Budget Digital Integrity Economy Education Energy Environment Europe Financial Crisis Foreign Affairs Gay Rights Housing Immigration Jobs Public Health Reform Social Security Tax Policy Turkey Welfare
  14. Have any of you guys heard from the scenario author? I haven't. I would be up for doing my own scenario, actually.
  15. I'll post it sometime when it's perfected/I'm reasonably satisfied with it.
